Angela Kaufman

Kauffman was an artist who was specialized in portraits. She produced historical paintings during her three-year Italian stay. The recognition of her achievements is indicated by her election to Rome's Accademia of San Luca in 1765. Angelica Kauffman stayed in England not for long, however she made a huge impact. After a few more months, the family moved to Naples. Her work continued to be painted portraits and studied English. Kauffman studied Old Masters works in this city and then had her painting sent for public display to London.
