Jill Hennessy

Her mixed heritage includes Irish italians, Swedish, Italians french, Ukrainians, and Italians. Jacqueline is her twin sister. She is also an actor. Jill could speak several languages when she was growing up. They comprised Italian, French, and Spanish. At twelve, she became interested in acting. The path to acting began in Toronto as she was the assistant for David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers, along with her sister. When she began studying improv with Deb Kimmet, who was a student at Second City, she began her acting career in Toronto. Following her move into New York, Claire signed the two-year contract for Law & Order to be the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid. In the course of her three-year run and beyond, she spent her time working in feature films like RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1994), and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). She worked in a few boring films during the subsequent years, before landing as the lead in the 1999 miniseries uremberg together with Alec Baldwin. In major productions, like Autumn in New York and Exit Wounds followed. Her first lead role was for her role on the NBC police thriller Crossing Jordan in 2001. In 2007, she was honored with the Gracie Allen Award for "Outstanding female lead in a drama series" in appreciation of her performance in the series. She got married in 2000 to another actor Paolo Mastropietro. They have two kids. In 2007, she received the honor of being at the Canadian Walk of Fame.
